Starting Out Strong  

Is a program for parents, co-parents and other caregivers of young children to learn research-based information about child development, parenting, relationships, and ways to balance family, work and life. The program is a series of three two-hour classes, held three weeks in a row.

The classes will develop skills and build on strengths, which will help participants be the best caregivers, parents and partners that they can be.  The classes are designed to be fun and hands-on.  Class participants will also have opportunities to  connect with others as they learn together.  Whether you are a caregiver, parenting  together or co-parenting apart, having more positive relationships and parenting tools is a good thing for everyone!

There is a $30.00 charge per person to cover the cost of class materials. To reserve a place in the series,  complete and submit the registration online at Starting Out Strong Online Registration  as well as send the $30 payment at least one week before the first class you plan on attending.  Checks can be made payable to : Pepin County UW-Extension .Your registration will not be complete without payment.

If you have a financial hardship, you may request a reduced fee by completing the financial hardship section at the bottom of the registration form. You will be notified if your request is approved or not. Financial hardship requests are kept confidential.

To confirm your registration, you must also call or email the Pepin County UW-Extension Office the Monday of the week of the first class at (715) 672-5214 or email mary.campbellwood@wisc.edu  . Do NOT expect that you can attend these classes without confirming your registration. Do NOT bring your child(ren) to class.
