4-H Teen Leaders Trained to be 4-H Camp Kinnissippewa Counselors

The Pepin County 4-H Camp Kinnissippewa Counselors are Jordin McMahon, Brianna Hass, Lauren Hendel and Stephanie Brantner.  Jordan and Brianna are returning counselors, Lauren and Stephanie are new to this leadership responsibility.   4-H Counselor training and planning day took place on April 23 at the Pepin School with other counselors from Buffalo, Pierce and Trempealeau Counties.  A special emphasis of the day was learning about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) and how utilizing the principles of a trauma informed lens at camp can benefit both campers and camp staff. Counselors applied skills in planning lessons and activities for the camp program. This year’s 4-H Camp Kinnissippewa theme is “The Olympians.”
